Is there a free plan?

No. Every plan is paid, and every plan has a 30-day money-back guarantee. If AccountTrail isn't right for you, ask within 30 days of your first payment and we refund it in full. You don't need to give a reason.

What's the difference between the plans?

How many businesses you can run, and the support you get. Starter covers one, Pro covers five and Pro Plus covers fifteen. Every plan gets email support and live chat (coming soon). Pro Plus gets priority on both, plus priority Zoom calls with onboarding included. Invoicing, bills, expenses, stock, budgets, reports, multi-currency, labels and imports are on all three.

What if I need more businesses than my plan includes?

Move up a plan. On Pro Plus you can add as many as you need beyond fifteen, for $9 a month each or $84 a year each. Every business keeps its own currency, numbering, settings and reports.

What is launch pricing?

Accepted Answer

Until 31 December 2026, yearly plans are a further 10% off: Starter $129.60, Pro $540 and Pro Plus $1,296 a year. The price is locked for life, so it renews at the same amount for as long as you stay subscribed.

Can I cancel at any time?

Accepted Answer

Yes, from Settings → Billing, with no email required. You keep your plan until the end of the period you've paid for, and nothing in your account is deleted.

Is my data safe?

All traffic is encrypted over HTTPS, passwords are hashed, and sensitive credentials are encrypted at rest with AES-256-GCM. Our own staff can manage accounts and subscriptions without being able to read your invoices, bills or expenses. We don't sell your data or use it to train models.

Which currencies can I invoice in?

All of them. Each amount is converted at the rate on its transaction date, so reports for past periods don't change when exchange rates move.

Can I bring my records from another tool?

Yes. Imports takes a spreadsheet, so you can bring across customers, suppliers and open invoices without retyping them. Our guide on moving from another accounting tool covers what to bring across and in which order.

How much do I save paying yearly?

Accepted Answer

Starter is $144 a year instead of $180, Pro $600 instead of $720, and Pro Plus $1,440 instead of $1,800. That's 20% off on Starter and Pro Plus, and 2 months free on Pro.

Can I change plan later?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Upgrades take effect immediately and are charged pro rata, with credit for time you've already paid for. Downgrades take effect at the end of your current period.

Who processes the payment?

Accepted Answer

Paddle, our merchant of record. It charges your card, handles sales tax and VAT, and issues your invoice. Your card details never reach our servers.
